Hotel Boutique  Las Colinas Knows about the importance of preserving what do we have today for a better future and we believe in the power of the “R”: Reduce, Reuse, Recycling, Recollect, Revalue, Restructure, Renew, Reintegrate… and we give our little piece by the following ways:

• Architecture friendly with the enviroment, with ample large windows that allows the entrance of natural Light and Reduce the Electric Energy consume.

• Maintaining inside the Hotel an ample zone of terrace that allows the contact with the environmental factors Revaluing the areas opened in urban zones.

• We seeded native ornamental plants in Recycled plastic flowerpots.

• Renewing the Solar Energy by using it for the bathrooms shower.

• Reducing the use of Energy, between our collaborators fomenting actions like closing water pipes, drying the clothes outdoors, extinguishing the electrical lights and devices that are not being used.

• In each room we give suggestions to our guests, about the wise use of the Air Conditioning, Water, Lights and how they can contribute Reusing the towels and the sheets.

• Reducing the Electric consume by using only lamps of Low consume.

• Using only Biodegradable soap and detergents, Reducing the environmental contamination.

• Reducing the garbage by purchases of provisions in big sizes.

• Purchase of fruits to local farmers, Revaluing the importance of producing more organic products.

• Reintegration in the community, forming an active part of the La Fortuna Tourist business Association of: Amitufor

 Hotel Las Colinas Boutique is proud to say that we are in process of Certification for Sustainable Tourism CST.

Also, the hotel  had started the  process  to be C-NEUTRAL with the consultant’s of the EARTH University.
At the moment we are part of the Program of energy efficiency by  BUN-CA.
And it is an active member of the comission of the Ecological Blue Flag Program in La Fortuna.
