Forest By Boat and Horseback
The tour leaves from La Fortuna at 7:30 am. We drive you to the volcano and dam where a boat awaits to bring you across beautiful Arenal Lake.
The horses are saddled
up and waiting for you at El Castillo on the other side of the Lake.
Through mountains, rivers, rainforest, cloudforest, and an active volcano, the scenery, the silence, and the feeling of being nowhere will stay with you forever.
At an excellent spot between pasture and rainforest, we stop for fruits, drinks, and to relax. You will see, hear, and feel the powerful volcano in action.
After about four hours of totally fresh air and nature in the wild, we reach San Gerardo. From here, a taxi takes you a short distance to Santa Elena and to your hotel where you will arrive at noon. Not only does this backway across the mountains bring you to your destination faster, but it also gives you the best opportunity to discover a remote and little known area of Costa Rica. The price includes: Jeep-Boat-Jeep We offer this as additional option. We will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Lake Arenal where a boat will be waiting. After the ride across the lake, a jeep will be waiting on the other side to take you to the sights awaiting in Monteverde.
