Do something that few people have done
and see something that few people have seen!

This full day includes breakfast, lunch, hiking, hot springs, waterfall, rainforest, an incredibly beautiful turquoise river, and the biggest tree in the country.

Imagine:  You walk through the rainforest listening to all the jungle sounds.  You hear water.   All of a sudden, you see a turquoise river between the trees.  We reach the hot springs.  The water is boiling, but in one pool it is mixed with cool water to a perfect body temperature.  Talk about natural hot springs!  This is a wonderful feeling!

You walk along the river.  The color of the water becomes more and more incredible---one pool more turquoise than the the one before.  The river is spectacular.  Is this nature?   Or is this NATURE?!

We find beauty clay for a mud mask, steam from boiling water for a steam bath.  This is the whole beauty treatment, if you want.

Then you walk to the waterfall which drops 30 meters into a turquoise pool.  Mother nature in full bloom!

We leave at 06:00 AM and drive to Guatuso where we have a typical breakfast at a Tico family home.  From there we start our one hours hoseback ride to Tenorio National Park.  On the way, we stop to look at one of the biggest ceiba trees in the country.  "Al árbol de la paz" also known as "the freedom tree."  It is enormous!

We leave our horses and start hiking.  It is a challenging hike through a primary forest.  This is a rarely visited place, and it gives you a good opportunity to see all kinds of wildlife.

Four hours later, we come back to the horses and a delicious lunch in a cozy, tiny restaurant.  Food is cooked on a wood stove.

We ride a different route back home with an opportunity to see Arenal Volcano, and we arrive in La Fortuna around 03:30 PM.
