Whitewater Rafting

Class lll. Section La Virgen.
One day tour to Sarapiqui River from San Jose and La Fortuna for beginners and intermediate ones.
Enjoy the best rafting trip in the Sarapiqui River. The tour of 7.5 miles it is done between two little communities La Virgen and Chilamate. It is a very safe section for it is formed by continuous rapids of crystal clear still water pools . On this trip you can enjoy of four rapids class II, twenty of class III, all of them of a good technical level.
The Sarapiqui River characterizes by its crystal clear non contaminated waters, this allows the tourists to enjoy a landscape full of natural life which they discover thanks to the assistance of our naturalist guides. During this vibrating trip they will find still water pools where to swim and refresh themselves, apart from the challenging rapids such as Hueco Gringo, Confusion, Superman, Montaña Rusa y Fuerza Aerea among others. In the middle of the way , a stop will be made in one of the river sides, a still water area where tourists will be able to swim and taste the delicious tropical fruits of the season.

Class lV. Section San Miguel and La Virgen.
Advanced. Tour distance : 12 kilometers
This is our most exciting trip, special for this sport lovers and people who like strong emotions. This tour can be taken by people aged 15 to 50, depending on their physical condition. Before starting the trip a training about safety will be given. On each raft 6 to 8 people will travel with their respective guide. The trip lasts from 1.5 to 2 hours and it consists of rapids alternated with still water pools where you can swim and have fun in the middle of an impressing natural landscape.
We recommend you take with you : sandals or tennis shoes, shorts, t-shirt and sunblock. As part of the safety equipment provided by AGUAS BRAVAS, each person will be provided with a helmet, a row and a life jacket which tourists should have on during the whole trip.
